On this special day we will be hosting a special card drive. My customer Dayle lost her beloved dog Bebe suddenly and tragically. Her veterinarian sent her a handmade card with a lock of Bebe's fur and paw prints and that card touched her deeply. She would like to have us make cards like the one she received and she will donate these cards to veterinarians in Hawaii so that other families who have lost their beloved pets will also receive these wonderful cards. She would like to make 1646 cards as that is how many days she has had Bebe in her life. We will have kits available for you to pick up so that you can have a sample of cards that we would like. It doesn't have to be exactly the same, but if you could make as many as you would like and drop it off at the store on World Card Making Day. We will also have a table set up outside if you would like to drop by and make cards on that day too. There will be more details as we iron out and fine tune everything. Operation Write Home
I would like to participate in this special project also. Living in Mililani there are a lot of soldiers and they and their families are very special in all their sacrifices to allow us Americans to live the lives that we do knowing that the soldiers are out there protecting our freedom. Please join me and the store by making cards for this wonderful organization. There are some guidelines in making the cards and please go to http://operationwritehome.org/ to get the full details. I really would like each participant to make 8 to 10 cards, drop them off at the store by 10/2, and I will mail them off so that the soldiers overseas will get them and use them to write home. I will put your name in a drawing and you will win a prize equal to $50 retail in the store.
